The only personal information we ask for is your name, country of residence, and email address.

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • If you have given us permission to store information about you.
  • If there is a legitimate interest. As a positive change organisation, Positive Money Europe depends on your support to achieve results. This is why we may, for example, ask you to join an action such as signing a petition or attending a meeting or public action or making a donation.

3. How we use your personal information

We will only email you information about our work if you give us your consent to do so. This information is sent to you when we think it may be of interest to you. For example, when you have consent to being contacted by email, you may receive an email from us inviting you to sign the petition. Similarly, you may receive a welcome message with other ways to support us, such as making a donation. All of our emails will give you the option to opt out of receiving further emails. For example, when we hand the petition to the stakeholders that the petition addresses, it may be necessary to include part of your name. Otherwise, we will only disclose your information if we are legally required to do so.

5. Access and changes

Under the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to request and obtain:

  • confirmation that your data is being processed;

If you request that your personal information be deleted, we will deal with your request transparently and in accordance with our data retention policy.

7. Security

The security of your personal information is important to us, and we will take appropriate precautions to protect it.
